A Life of Balance

My name is Sherrie and I have been practicing yoga for 28 years, and teaching for 8 of those years. The foundation of our practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, we strive to promote an understanding of the interdependency of all these aspects in your personal health and wellbeing.

SHERRIES YOGA  ( ASHTANGA STYLE)

Wednesday 9:00-10:15AM

This class helps the student to be present through breath awareness while holding poses. The class begins with loosening postures followed by Sun Salutations, standing poses, balancing, floor postures and finally, Savasana. A well rounded practice that will strengthen your body, calm your mind and give you a sense of wellbeing.

CHAIR YOGA

Tuesday and Thursday 11:00AM - 12:00PM

Chair Yoga is yoga on a chair. This class addresses people with knee injuries, seniors, or if you have difficulty getting down onto the floor.  A chair yoga practice will strengthen your muscles and help you regain balance and inner peace from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around breath control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.

A private yoga session allows the student a more in depth approach. For some, going into a yoga class for the first time can feel intimidating. In a private session you will learn what to expect in a yoga class, how to use props and how to move in and out of postures safely with one on one focused attention. It's fun and you are worth it!
